Will you be my karting valentine?

Shadow @ Monday, February 16th   [link]

This has been a largely quieter week, with many of the top players not playing and only 5 people in total improving their AF by more than 10%.

Movement
With a very minimal move, Shaun Tanney passes Brendan and moves to 2nd. The gap to Alvin is still as vast as ever, and no change seems in sight for quite some time. With the most significant move in the top 10, Cole Gilbert gains 4 places to move to 4th. He's now within shooting distance of that ever changing 2nd place.

Mickael Smolen is up 2 to #11 this week, hoping to break into the top 10 soon. Alex Shoal climbs 3 places to #13 after a good week, and Alvin Le also climbs 3 places to finish 23rd.
Other significant moves
Virgil Blondel makes the best move of the update, climbing a full 14 places: 51->37. Joshua Leutz passes 5: 49->44, whilst Jose Karica does the same to move from 62 to 57. Pierre-Emmanuel Medus is one of this week's 4 >10% movers, and passes 12 people to move to #60. The last two players who made more than 10% moves are Enrique Walander and Daniel Pabst, passing 21 and 22 players respectively to finish #93 and #103

Hey!
So first off, a big thanks to Daniel Pascua, who has been doing a lot of updating for the site recently. Either that, or it's just a coincidence that things are more updated now that he's helping out. Also, I want to give a mention to David Vicens, who has been trying to keep our times accurate, when lazy PP members forget to submit their times. Good work!

Movement
At the top of the charts, Shaun Tanney moved from 4th to 3rd and was briefly 2nd. He's practically tied with Brendan though. Coming up fast however is the best player of the last 3 months Nick Meade. Nick was the first player to earn more than 1 POM award, and now he's earned 3 in a row. Ben Hart was also active, making some good cuts to take him up 2 places to 7th, whilst Tim Shelbourne rejoins the top 10 after a short spell outside.

The biggest move this update goes to the person knocking firmly on the door of the top 10, and that's David McPartland who slots in 7 places higher at 11. Elsewhere in the top 20, Leif Leopold and Sam Hoar battle it out at #18 and #19 respectively.

2 Carlos's made fine moves. Carlos Eduardo moved up 5 places to #31, whilst Carlos Morales moved up 15 to #37. In between both of these was Mike Zarro, who passed 8 on his journey from #41 to #33.

Daniel Pascua broke firmly into the top 50, with a 7 place climb to #44. Ted Kim did the same, passing 8 for #46. Gilles Rodier also moved up steadily, taking out 5 to finish #52. Robert Lee took out 6 to finish #55. Both of these players now have their eye on the top 50. 2 players not far behind them are Jose Karica and Brian Cook, both with strong moves leaving them at #62 and #65.

Other players with nice PRs this week are #127 Jon Coppernoll, #155 Nicholas Harvey and #164 Zack Weber.
