Movement

#21 Christian Wild, despite promising to take a break and play other Kart games, also promises to keep playing until he hits Myth B. He raced a pair of PRs this week to reduce his 60Hz ARR to 3.56, needing another 0.07 to pass the barrier. In the combined chart, he is still sitting on 3.5000.

#83 Andrew Johnson raced a new BP time and reduced the gap between himself and #82 Jon Prentice to less than 1 AF pt. The whole 70-82 set of ranks is filled with veterans and former MKDD celebrities, so each win will be tasty for Andrew.

#482 Jean-Francois Schepers made a nice 20pt AF cut, but he used it in a bad position where there were big gaps between the players. So instead of the expected 20-position gain, he only gained 10 positions. The good news is that the path to the top-450 is fairly clear, and J-F still has momentum on his side. His 0.5pt ARR cut also brought him to the Advanced C ranks.

New player #542 Timur Ahmad joined this week outside the top-600, but he has already reported enough PRs in his first few days to make a 76pt AF cut. Assuming he's using the Barrel Train, a bit of work on his MTs could let him catch up to Jean-Francois. For now, he's Intermediate A but will join the Advanced ranks very soon. #427 Andrew Klein, also a new player, debuts about one hundred positions higher than Timur. Andrew has only made his introductory submission so far, so he may be working on some tracks and not yet told us any results. Perhaps J-F, Andrew and Timur will motivate each other to race to the top-400? Andrew is already quite close, but we don't know if he's playing. The other two definitely are smile

Movement

#14 David Schiering cut his DC time down to reach 9th place on the course and tie Konsta. He needs another 1.1 AF pts to reach #13 Olivier.

#83 Andrew Johnson improved all his times to be in the top-100 for their respective course. He says he likes Mushroom Bridge the least because he's exactly 100th position there and it's one of his old PRs. On the ladder, Andrew passed Max, Kevin and Sylvin to gain 3 places. He also passed Arnaud on the 60Hz ranking to take 43rd place.

#492 Jean-Francois Schepers had a good week once again, racing 24 new PRs to net a 30pt AF cut: enough to slingshot him 31 places higher on the ladder, and inside the top-500. He recently passed three fellow Belgians (#533 Jens, #543 Cedric, #548 Giovanny), but the next two are inside the top-400 (#387 Cedric is closest). This week's cut, however, puts Jean-Francois about one hundred places behind. He may be able to reach them in a few weeks' time.

Movement

A quiet week. Probably everyone was celebrating Mother's Day, or Victory Day, or the 50 year anniversary of The Pill.

After his POQ-winning performance at the start of the year, #14 David Schiering took a short break in early April. This week he came back and raced 3 strong PRs (2 of them god standard). He made a 0.8pt cut, which would normally be enough for 1 position, but not this time. While David did pull away from #15 Bo Garman to make his 14th place more secure, he's still 1.2pts behind #13 Olivier Peruch. In ARR, David cut 0.2pts to lower his score below 2.0 points. Olivier retired when he reached the Myth+ level (1.5), so David could try to catch up to him in both AF and ARR.

#21 Christian Wild celebrated his birthday by racing a new 21"81 best lap on Peach Beach. It was his third ever single-digit ranking (9th place). It was also a new German country record, besting David by 0"02. Christian keeps promising to take a break and not play, yet he keeps racing new PRs. Maybe he should promise to -not- take a break, and see if he gets more PRs when he actually plays smile

#86 Andrew Johnson made a 2pt cut, setting up an easy 2-position gain for next week. He only needs 0.2pts to pass Max and Sylvin. In 60Hz, he reached 44th place by passing Sylvin and Alex H. Andrew also finally beat the last of his remaining Hero C times, making him 32/32 Hero B or better.

#409 Peter Nonkes took a small step towards top-400, scoring 5 new PRs and passing 11 players. He also passed 8 players in 60Hz to reach 311th place, so there's another milestone looming. He might even get it by next week.

#523 Jean-Francois Schepers was the big mover of the week, reporting 23 PRs and a 27pt AF cut. He scored a couple of Advanced B times to add to last week's haul, which helped him become an Advanced player overall (Adv D). A similar cut next week will see him safely in the top-500.

Movement

#3 Kouider Benarioua raced 2 new records, but they were not on a course that affected #1 Richard or #2 Hendrik. So none of the top-3 moved, although it could take a single PR (most likely from Kouider) to shake things around.

#86 Andrew Johnson spent most of this karting time trying to figure out the intricacies of DK Mountain. He improved both his times and moved up one place. He says that #80 Rob C and #82 Jon P are now within his reach.

#245 Philip Emmerich was active again. No major movement, but he raced his new best time this week -- a Hero D 3lap in Rainbow Road that ranks 160th on the charts. It's Philip's first Hero time.

Newcomer #530 Adam Frederick moved up 9 places, but the big mover of the week was just behind him, #552 Jean-Francois Schepers. The Belgian's 87pt cut pushed him a further 85 places up the ladder, adding to his already good run this month. Jean-Francois cut 2 ranks in ARR, almost reaching the Advanced levels... but not yet, since he's 0.1pt outside the threshold. He'll have to be content with an Intermediate A rating until next week.

#658 Dave Crawford decided to continue his comeback, reporting 23 PRs achieved over the past two weeks. His 29pt AF cut was enough to nudge him 25 places higher, also grabbing an Intermediate C rating in ARR. On the 60Hz ladder, Dave moved up to 504th. A few more PRs to pass that milestone. #710 Kevin Pillinger and #726 Zack Weber were also active, but they've lost ground on Dave.

New Records

Kouider improved both Waluigi Stadium records, taking the course time down to 1'36"357 G+7 and the lap to 30"644 G+4. The course time was a "25 cut (and "09 faster than the previous record, by Marijn). The lap was a "04 cut, but Kouider already held that record (and is now "05 ahead of Marijn). Kouider's records tally increases by 1, to 7 WRs.
